📋 1. Introduction

Devbin ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website devbin.io — a collection of free, browser-based developer tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our site.

We take privacy seriously. Devbin was designed from day one to work entirely client-side: your input never leaves your browser. No backend processes your data, no server stores it, and no third party ever sees it.

📦 2. Information We Collect

Tool data — none. Everything you type into any Devbin tool (JSON, code, text, URLs, files, etc.) is processed entirely within your browser and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Anonymous usage analytics. We may collect minimal, aggregated, and fully anonymized analytics to understand which tools are most useful. This data includes:

• Pages visited and approximate time spent (no session replay or heatmaps)
• Referring website (where you came from)
• Browser type, OS, and screen resolution — in aggregate form only
• Country-level location derived from IP address (IP is not stored)

This data cannot be linked back to any individual. We use it solely to improve Devbin.

Local storage. Some tools use your browser's localStorage to save your preferences (e.g., whether you have previously donated). This data lives only on your device and is never transmitted.

🍪 3. Cookies

Devbin does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any cookies that identify you across sessions or sites.

If analytics are enabled, the analytics provider may set a minimal, anonymous first-party cookie to distinguish unique visits. This cookie contains no personal information and is not shared with advertisers.

🔗 4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate and improve the site:

• Cloudflare — CDN and DNS hosting. Cloudflare processes requests to serve pages quickly and may log basic request metadata (IP, user agent) in accordance with their own privacy policy. IPs are anonymised.
• Google Fonts — fonts loaded at page render. Google may log font requests. You can prevent this by using a browser extension that blocks external font requests.
• Ko-fi / GitHub Sponsors — if you choose to donate, you are directed to their respective platforms. Any payment data is handled entirely by those services and is subject to their privacy policies. We receive no financial details.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any behavioural advertising network.

👶 5. Children's Privacy

Devbin is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through this site, please contact us and we will promptly address it.

🌍 6. International Users

Devbin is hosted via Cloudflare's global network. If you are accessing the site from the European Union, United Kingdom, or elsewhere, please be aware that the infrastructure may process requests through servers in various countries. As we do not collect personal data, GDPR and similar regulations have minimal applicability, but we are committed to respecting the spirit of those laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Devbin after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never change this policy in a way that introduces personal data collection without clearly notifying users on the homepage.
